Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
I wrote this poem when I needed to grasp onto hope and thought it might help today...

Reflections On Hope

Hope is the whisper in the dark
Close to the ear
Promising morning light will dawn again.

Hope is the flutter of a butterfly's wings
Within its cocoon
Promising new life will burst forth, flying free.

Hope is the quiet seed in the soil
Nestled safely under the snow
Promising green will rise up to greet Spring's sun.

Hope is the calm that comes
After gut wrenching tears
Promising joy and laughter will be yours again.

Hope is a spark, catching the fuel
Igniting to fire
Promising warmth and light will conquer cold and dark.

Hope is a song that stirs in the soul
Swirling its melody around the heart
Promising Divine Love is available to all.

Have Hope -- All is well.
Dawn follows night
Life is born anew
Spring follows Winter
Laughter follows tears
Light conquers dark,
and Love.

Love is a Divine Gift freely given for all.

(written by Cynthia Reddig, Spring 2012)

From Corinthians, chapter 13
Love bears all things. Love believes all things. Love hopes all things. Love endures all things.
Love never ends.

Our hearts are broken, but love will see us through. We will carry each other, holding tight to hope.

I read this at my brother's funeral, November 27th, 2012. I really don't have words to express how broken spirited I am at this point... but as this poem states, hope and love will carry me through the pain.
